OUR BOX
Sometimes It’s easier to be clean.
OUR BOX is the plastic-free solution to modern recycling. For so long, we have been storing waste (a temporary issue in the home) into the most unrecyclable, and non-compostable bags. OUR BOX is an initiative to eliminate the use of plastic. OUR BOX is durable enough to be used as both a container, is light enough to be carried out like a trash bag, and can compost within 2 - 6 months.
The Problem with Plastic Bags
Plastic bags take 20 years to compost or become micro-plastics. We need to stop temporarily storing waste in the most toxic materials.
The Environmental Alternative
Each set of OUR BOX is designed to last 1 month per customer. It is designed so that once the container is emptied at the recycling center the container can also be piled with other paper materials. OUR BOX does not use plastic laminates so it fully composts within 2 months.
Recycling in Korea
In Korea, each household is expected to separate their recyclables and dispose each into their delegated containers at the recycling center of each apartment complex.
However, whether a household uses reusable bags, or random waste bag/boxes, the recycling process for the home is tedious and time consuming.
The Solution
Corrugated cardboard is durable and light enough to be used as both as a container and then carried out.
OUR BOX is designed to keep the user organized. The specific size ensures that the user visits the recycling center regularly and efficiently.
Once the recyclables are disposed of, the user may simply fold OUR BOX and dispose of it with the rest of the paper recyclables.
OUR BOX is designed so that multiple sets can be stored and installed when needed.
COmpact Delivery box
Designing a box that is fast to unfold, and compact.
In order to be able to distribute OUR BOX containers to customers on a regular basis (such as subscription) the corrugated cardboard box needed to be re-designed so that it could be more compact than other conventional containers in the market, and faster to assemble. This led to the development of a new patent pending idea.
